TESTING COMPLIANCE: The block is designed to arrest a fall and allow for the hoisting of a person. During testing, the fall arrestor locks before the mass touches the ground and remains locked until released. When subjected to a static force of 12 kN for 3 minutes, the assembly shows no sign of damage or fracture. When tested with a fall involving a rigid mass of 100 Kg, the braking force is less than 5 kN and the arrest distance is less than 2 m.
